Understanding which option is right for you can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to work it out alone. Our team is happy to explain the process and answer any questions.

Speak With Our Team
Can I arrange care privately?

Yes. Many families arrange and pay for care privately — it is flexible, personal and can begin without waiting for funding decisions.

Will the local authority pay for my care?

It depends on your circumstances. Local authorities assess both care needs and finances before deciding — eligibility is determined by your local authority, and we can help you understand the process.

What is a financial assessment?

A financial assessment (sometimes called a means test) is how a local authority looks at income and savings to decide how much, if anything, it will contribute towards care.

Can Harmony help me understand funding?

Yes. We cannot make funding decisions on behalf of the authorities, but we are always happy to explain the options, point you to the right guidance and support you through the process.

What happens if my needs change?

Care plans are reviewed regularly, and funding can be revisited too — for example if needs increase. We will always talk changes through with you first.
